The idea behind the CD
Harmony in Worship is a resource for the choir/ensemble to help learn different styles of music and learn various parts that can go with them. The learning system is based on an aural teaching method - which means to learn by listening. Each part has a set of tracks where they can hear their particular line much louder in the sound mix - helping the singer identify their vocal line as well as hearing it within the context of the whole piece.
When rehearsing as a group the choir/vocal ensemble can be split into three sections working independently with their part from the CD. Once learnt, re-group and sing along to the full version before trying it out with the backing track.
The complete resource package contains the remixed rehearsal tracks for each harmony part, backing
tracks, vocal scores (for those who wish to visually see what they are singing), chord charts (as an option for singing with a live band), album cover, and disc label.
The option of purchasing the album separately, as well as single songs with the resource, is also available.
NOTE: Please feel free to adapt parts for vocalist needs and to use variations for dynamics. For example: lead vocals can be sung in unison by all singers, or just the melody section, or trios can be used before full choir. If you’re using your own musicians you can change the style, rhythm, instrumentation and develop your own endings.
